FENTY STUNNA LIP PAINT REVIEW

Hey guys! Today's exciting review is on yet another MAJOR Fenty Beauty product release- the Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color. The only color from the line that's available right now is "Uncensored", deemed to be the "perfect universal red". I watched a video off Facebook of women with all different complexions try the shade out, and it really did look great on all of them. That inspired me to give this a test myself, since normally I wouldn't have because I already have tons of red lip colors. Keep reading for a full breakdown!

As a sidenote, I want to say that this past year I think I've spent enough on Fenty products (beauty and shoes) to pay for a week's worth of Rihanna's groceries. Lol.

I bought "Uncensored" yesterday from Sephora as part of a little haul so I could use the yearly $15 off $50 coupon they send around. This is only available at Sephora and on the Fenty Beauty site. It is a cool $24, which is maybe just a little bit more than the standard prestige brand liquid lip color.

The packaging is a standard, sturdy box. On the outside is printed a little bit about the product, "one-stroke intensity, 12 hour matte wear. Unrivaled precision wand". I like the bottle as the long metal part serves as a good grip (like holding a pencil) during application. It's a little bit reminiscent of Christian Louboutin's nail color vials.

You are supposed to shake the color first to "activate the pigments". I don't really know what that means, but I guess it's to prevent settling and to keep all the components of the lip color properly mixed.

The applicator is a real dream. As you can kind of see above, it's styled like a standard doe foot applicator, but the bottom part is a little bit flatter. It's so easy to control, I really got some crazy precision.

The formula itself is great too. It's a matte color but the formula isn't dry! It feels like a matte cream, and over time I didn't feel any tackiness or flakey bits start to roll up and become gross on my lips. Over time the color did settle into the lines of my lips but you couldn't see it unless you were very close. There was no cracking that occurred. I was also impressed that there was virtually no feathering! I can't stand bold, matte lip colors usually because they always start to bleed out around my lips and that's not a good look.... great that this one's edges stayed sharp! It really only took one coat too, this delivers a super even and pigmented color.

Let me tell you, this really stands the test of time. After eating, drinking, and hours of wear this stayed INTACT! This is a bold lip color I would not be afraid of wearing out on a long night on the town. Note though- I kissed the back of my hand and it did leave a print (although my lips still looked perfect).... so it might not be kiss-proof!

As you can see in the cover photo of my lips, and in the swatch above, this color is a TRUE red. I do really love it on me, it's very flattering. It does leave a bit of a stain underneath, which is expected with a product that packs so much pigmentation.

Let me make a quick comparison here to a leading liquid matte lip color: Lime Crime's Velvetines. I own three shades from the line, and the difference I see between them and Fenty's here is astronomical. I'm afraid to wear my "Wicked" Velvetine (even though I love the color) for more than an hour because the thing BLEEDS LIKE CRAZY. With any eating/drinking, the whole thing turns into a mess. Plus, it gets super dry, tacky, and patchy after like an hour.

I love this formula so much, I hope that "Uncensored" is the first of many many more shades. If there's one red lip to invest in this season, it's this one. Since it's the only color option/universal, it's impossible to make the wrong choice! Below is a picture of me, full face, wearing "Uncensored" (not the best quality and a little dark, but it's the best picture I could get!).
