Hey everyone! Last night was an event that I wait all year for-- Her Campus Media's College Fashion Week event in NYC. This year, it was held at Met West, a space in midtown Manhattan really close to the water on the west side. I was honored to go as a VIP brand collaborator with Bed Head by TIGI and Her Campus. My good friend and photographer Ali came with me, keep reading for her photos from the event and a quickie report of the night!

I owe a big thanks to a lot of people before starting this. Thank you to Ali for coming with me to CFW, doing all the heavy lifting taking photos, and for making the night even more enjoyable. Anywhere you see her name, click to be brought over to her photography site. Thank you to Her Campus Media for hosting another great NYC CFW event and for choosing me to work with their brand. Thank you to Bed Head by TIGI for choosing me to help promote their brand and for their generosity. This post is in part sponsored by Bed Head by TIGI and Her Campus Media, but all words, thoughts, and opinions are mine.

NOW-- a breakdown of the night.

Ali and I met up at the 42nd Street station and decided to walk over to Met West since we had some time. When we arrived, we were still crazy early, so we detoured to the nearby Intrepid Air and Space Museum and sat by the water. We got a few great shots in (which will be in a separate blog post, coming soon) and then headed back to Met West around 5:15. We entered for the VIP hour and were thrilled to have some time to visit all of the sponsors booths.

All of the sponsors are SUPER generous at CFW, it's unbelievable. The booths there were Student Universe, Primark, Ulta Beauty, Bed Head by TIGI, and Spindrift. To the side, there was a refreshment area that featured an open bar, Shake Shack frozen custard, Sweet Thang Cafe treats, Kettle Chips, and Boxed Water. Ali and I totally hit up the refreshments right at the beginning, everything was so yummy!

All of the sponsors booths were real gems. There was tons more free stuff to pick up, which was just WOW. Some of the standouts to me were the hair and makeup bars at Ulta and their photo booth. Also, at Bed Head by TIGI you could get a free hair assessment and a product to suit your hair needs! I also got a real fashion sketch done of me there, so cool. Ali and I found seats at the beginning to make sure we would have a spot for when the shows began. The shows kicked off with a performance by Trinidad Cardona, and were supported by music the rest of the night's DJ (whose name I didn't get, but she kept it bumping).

The initial runways show was all the models, completely decked out in Primark products. There were three smaller collections afterwards that featured emerging designers. The girls all looked great, and everyone was totally enjoying seeing the models walk. After the shows were over, Ali and I jetted out and walked back to our 42nd Street stop. We couldn't stop gushing over what a great experience it was being around other fashion lovers in a creative environment. ALSO we were freaking out over the goodie bags and other free stuff from the night-- I mean it's really INSANE!! You can see pictures of what we got at the end of the post. Overall, it was another successful CFW, and I can't wait until next year's!
